Wuhan, the "Homeland of White Clouds and Yellow Crane", is composed of three parts: Hankou, Hanyang and Wuchang. Not many people go out of their way to get to Wuhan, one of China’s largest cities, but a lot of people pass through the place since it is the terminus of the Yangtze Ferries from Chongqing.
Wuhan is now enjoying a boom in foreign and local investment, bringing it closer to the sparkling cosmopolitan citadels of Nanjing and Shanghai.
There are many scenic spots and historical sites in Wuhan, like the European-style buildings along the Yanjiang Dadao, The 1700 year old Yellow Crane Tower - one of the three famous towers in South China - is another attraction. Others include the East Lake whose natural beauty rivals that of the West Lake in Hangzhou, the TV Tower on Tortoise Hill (believed to be the highest mast of Asia), the ancient Guiyuan Temple and the modern International Amusement Park.
