South west of Hanoi is Hoa Binh, the home of several hill tribe people including Muong and Thai ethnic minorities. For generations these groups stay in the villages carrying out their daily life in a traditional manner. The influence of the outside world together with Government sponsored education is assisting the transition of the people to the modern age.
At Hoa Binh, tourists can take part in the traditional dance or taste the traditional food.
